Arties Festival - Chamber Music Festival with Hugues Borsarello (Violin). Nicolas Bone (Viola). Olivier Patey (Clarinet). Emmanuel Christien (Piano). Gauthier Herrmann (Cello).

Hugues Borsarello was born in a family of musicians and started studying violin at a young age with his father. He is widely sought after as a soloist, having the opportunity to play concertos by Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Brahms, Sibelius and Saint-Saens. He is also in demand as a virtuoso recitalist, but chamber music remains a major focus of his life as a musician. He participates in various festivals alongside others like Jerome Ducros, Laurent Verney, Philippe Mller and Gautier Capuon. Hugues is the artistic director of Ensemble La Follia and plays a violin by Michele Deconet, Venice 1777.

Nicolas Bone was born in Saint-Etienne, France and studied at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris with Serge Collot. He went on to complete his studies at the Banff School of Fine Arts, Canada, and in Cremona with Bruno Giuranna. He was a prize winner at the International Competitions of Firenze (1989) and Melbourne (1991) with the Kandinsky piano quartet. Nicolas Bone was principal violist of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe from 2000 to 2005 and has been solo violist of the Orchestre National de France in Paris since 1992.

Olivier Patey began to study the clarinet at the Conservatoire in Lille. He received a First Prize of the Conservatoire with honours in 1998, a Prix de perfectionnement with honours and a First Prize in Chamber Music in 1999. In February 2001, he was admitted to the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris to study with Michel Arrignon. Olivier is currently the principal clarinetist of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra.

At just twenty six years of age, Emmanuel Christien is one of France's most diverse young pianists. He began playing the piano when he was five years old and following early musical studies at the National Conservatory of Region of Nancy (CNR), he then studied with Olivier Gardon at the Paris Conservatoire. Emmanuel has won numerous prizes and awards as a pianist, accompanist and chamber musician.

Gauthier Herrmann began playing the cello at the age of eight with Nicole Daihnaut. In 1998 he joined the class of Marcel Bardon at the Conservatoire Superieur de Paris (CNR), where he obtained a first prize in cello in 2000. Gauthier was quickly destined for chamber music and founded the Trio con Fuoco upon entering the class of Paul Boufil in 1998. He has won numerous international prizes with this ensemble celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2008. Gauthier is the artistic director of Arties Festival and the NCPA Chamber Orchestra.
